NDIS progress notes connected to the participant’s support

Document the session, the participant’s response and agreed next steps. MyCaseNote brings custom case-note forms, participant goals and team review together for NDIS providers, without replacing your whole operational system.

No credit card required

A useful note needs more than a record that a visit happened

The next person reading a progress note needs to understand the support provided, the participant’s experience and what should happen next. Scattered documents make that context harder for a team to find and review.

01

The session

Keep the participant, Service and session details with the note rather than reconstructing them from messages.

02

The participant’s perspective

Capture what the person said, your observations and the next steps agreed together.

03

The review

Let authorised colleagues see whether a note is a draft, submitted for review or approved.

Write, review and return to the same participant record

Use the case-note workflow for progress notes after community access, daily-living support or another Service. Configure the narrative fields for your work while keeping session details and review history connected.

01

Build your team’s form

Choose section labels, prompts and required responses for each Service. Custom templates are created by your team; specialist NDIS templates are not preloaded.

02

Keep goals in view

Refer to the participant’s recorded goals while documenting the support and their response. Goal notes describe observations; they do not calculate outcome scores.

03

Submit for review

Save a draft and submit it when complete. Appropriate note permissions and participant access determine who can review it.

For example: documenting a community-access visit

Alex practised a bus journey to a community group. A useful note can distinguish the support provided, what Alex did and the follow-up agreed. This is an illustrative writing example, not a required format.

Participant context

Open Alex’s record and refer to the relevant current goal before writing.

View feature

Support and response

Record the route practised, the assistance provided and Alex’s response using your Service’s form.

View feature

Appropriate access

Give the colleagues responsible for Alex’s support the access required for their work.

View feature

A traceable review

Keep the named author, submission and review actions connected to the note.

View feature

Agreed follow-up

Record that Alex chose to practise the return journey next time, then submit the note for review.

Set up a documentation workflow around your Services

Common questions about ndis progress notes software

Clear answers before you get started.

Are progress notes and case notes different in MyCaseNote?

MyCaseNote uses a case-note workflow to document support. Teams can use that workflow for what they call progress notes, with participant and session details, configurable narrative sections and review status.

Can we use our own NDIS note format?

Yes. Create Service-specific templates with the labels, prompts and required responses your team needs. The free template is a writing resource; it is not a preloaded product template.

Does MyCaseNote guarantee NDIS compliance?

No. Templates, access controls, approvals and note history help you organise and review documentation. Your organisation remains responsible for the accuracy of its records and for checking the requirements that apply to its work.

Can staff write notes on a phone?

Yes. Use a mobile browser with an internet connection. MyCaseNote does not require a separate native application and does not provide offline note writing.

Can we export progress notes?

Authorised users can export selected case notes as a combined PDF or a ZIP of PDFs. Attachments are excluded and must be checked separately. Access and the current subscription state determine whether exports are available.

Is MyCaseNote only for NDIS providers?

No. NDIS details are optional. Nonprofit and community-service teams use the same underlying participant-record, custom-form and review capabilities. This page shows their application to NDIS progress notes.
